I miss the snow

I miss the snow, it's the only time Billingham looks pretty, like something you'd see on a postcard.

Durham Cathedral

Pictures of my trip to Durham Cathedral, I find the Glass Stained Windows and Architecture really beautiful and inspiring.

At the top, Harry Potter!

Felt Mushrooms!

Made some felt mushrooms using the spare bits of felt left over from needlefelting.

Russian Dolls

Russian Dolls

Based on a theme of Russia, I made Russian dolls with a twist. They were made as my last project at CCAD in Middlesbrough, and were in a show, which displayed all of the students work.
Having the same elements as traditional Russian Dolls, with bold patterns such as dots and stripes, and bouquets of flowers, instead of having each doll with all the patterns, there is a set with the same style on, so a 'family' of stripes, and a 'family' of bouqets. I also made Glass Fusion 'pictures' with wire and fritz of St Basil's Cathedral to give it a Russian feel.

Bird cages

My glass fusion bird cages

Made from wire, glass and copper mesh, it was based around a theme of birds, and the silhouette of birds and bird cages. They were made in my second year at Cleveland College of Art and Design at Middlesbrough.
